What is natural wine cellaring?

The ideal place to keep your wine is deep in a cave. The predecessor to wines storage units and probably still the very best way to keep wine, the temperature, humidity and light of the deep cave is exactly what your wines storage unit is trying to imitate. A close second would be the earthen floor of the root cellar. Ten foot underground, the ground of a main cellar can be dug up and the wine buried to the very best of the throat. Because the temperature of the planet earth in a well developed underlying cellar varies little throughout the year, the burying of the wine only means that the temperature will be practically set. Unfortunately, the majority of us are not lucky enough to live near useful caverns, but underlying cellars are common and can simply be used as long as you don’t brain just a little grit on your container.
