American satellite TV providers are eager for your business- so eager, that they will send experienced professional installation techs to your house to install your new equipment for you at no charge! Both Dish Network and DirecTV, the two biggest providers in the United States, offer free installation with the purchase of their satellite television packages.

Of course, DirecTV always provides the option of self installation, but it would have to be a special case for you to do so.

Order satellite television today, and within a day or two the professional installers will arrive at your house with all the necessary tools and equipment to get you set up within an hour or so.

First, they will find a proper southern exposure that will allow the dish to have direct line-of-sight to their company’s satellite, which hovers in a geosynchronous orbit over the equator. When the right place is found, they will attach mounting equipment to your roof, wall, patio cover, or other solid structure, and then attach the satellite mini-dish to it. These are usually 18- to 20-inch round dishes, although the newest models may be oval and up to 36 inches long, to allow the dish to receive signals from more than one satellite.

Once the dish is in place, they will test the signal and adjust the aiming of the dish until it is receiving the strongest possible signal from the satellite, and then tighten it firmly in place. Then the installers will drill a hole through the wall of the house, in an inconspicuous place, to run coaxial cable from the dish into the interior of the house. Inside, they will route the cable along walls and under carpets if necessary, to connect it to the receiver box (which may be a simple receiver/decoder, or might incorporate HDTV or DVR technology). Then they will connect the receiver box to the correct TV or DVD input jacks.

Once the system is fully connected, the installers will start, initialize, and test turning everything on and off, then ensure that you are receiving all the local, turnaround and premium channels you are paying for. They’ll give you the manuals for the various pieces, and a tutorial in how to operate the basic system, the remote, and the add-ons like pay-per-view channels, answering any questions you might have along the way.

After that, you are all set up and ready to enjoy your brand new satellite television system!
